Direct restoratives – mastering anterior and posterior challenges

Wednesday, September 18th, 2013
Workshop: 14:00-17:00
Dr. Markus Lenhard

ABSTRACT

For single tooth restorations composites have become a viable alternative to full ceramics. Scientific data increasingly supports the use of resin composites even for large restorations including cusp replacement, full crown build-ups or even small bridges.
However, the clinical procedure imposes a range of challenges on the operator. Matching translucency in anteriors, creating the correct occlusal morphology and interproximal contacts and providing adequate physical properties to the composite, are only some of the points that must be addressed by the dentist. The workshop focuses on the critical clinical steps, explains the most commonly encountered failures, and gives numerous clinical tips and tricks.
