Creating dental occlusion using the press-ceramic technique

Saturday, September 21st, 2013
Session 1: 9:00-9:30
Oliver Brix

ABSTRACT

Natural posterior teeth display perfectly the interplay of function and morphology. With any restoration in the posterior area this interplay needs to be matched as perfect as possible. Furthermore longevity and durability is another demand associated with a restoration. The press technology delivers those requirements as well as efficiency in a perfect way. The material option, especially with e.max Lithium disilicate offers countless options in utilization and precision. Monolithic or cutback techniques create a perfect occlusion and aesthetic at the same time. Using the wax-up procedure and the subsequent transfer into ceramic, guaranties a predictable and balanced freedom in centric result without any obstacles. The lecture gives an inside about the press technique, material options and a concept for full mouth reconstructions.
